Econet Wireless Burundi is seeking talented and dynamic professionals to join our growing team. We have two exciting opportunities available:
1 . Brand Execution & Digital Officer
- Key Responsibilities
- Media Management & Brand Objectives
- Develop simple, relevant, and clear communication so subscribers choose Econet Leo as their first choice.
- Identify key competitive strengths and plan tactical actions to improve TOMA.
- Decide on the creative direction for local communications according to brand guidelines.
- Digital Expectations
- Empower the OpCo team through training and guidelines.
- Manage digital agencies and ensure delivery quality.
- Report weekly/monthly on digital marketing activities.
- Coordinate with marketing, IT, PR, customer service, etc. to launch campaigns.
- Media Budget Management
- Prioritize activities with high business impact.
- Plan, monitor, and optimize media costs.
- Ensure optimal Share of Voice within budget limits.
- Service Quality & Media Compliance
- Ensure brand representation aligns with the graphic charter.
- Execute campaigns consistent with brand core values.
- Review media performance regularly.
- Establish SLAs with media partners and enforce terms.
- Education
- University degree (Bac +4) in Marketing, Communications, Sales Management, or Business Administration.
- Good knowledge of communication techniques.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Good level of English.
- Experience
- Minimum 2 years in a similar position.
- Experience in communications, advertising, or journalism agency.
- Good knowledge of media and communication agencies.
- Data & Content Officer
- Key Responsibilities
- VAS & Data Product Planning
- Develop and execute VAS & Data strategy to achieve revenue targets.
- Segment and position VAS & Data products by target groups.
- Work with New Product Development to plan product launches.
- Maintain performance scorecards for each product.
- Develop promotions to boost performance and satisfaction.
- Product Lifecycle & Performance Management
- Manage product lifecycle from launch to retirement.
- Provide support tools: training, sales tools, communication, distribution.
- Implement advertising, promotions, pricing changes, and distribution initiatives.
- Create cross-departmental working groups for product-related incidents.
- Review product performance monthly and adjust provisions if needed.
- Manage partner relationships, MoUs, invoicing, and payments.
- Ensure accuracy of official reports to ARCT.
- Evolving Customer Needs & New Product Development
- Monitor competition and recommend responses.
- Conduct feedback sessions with stakeholders.
- Run market surveys, analyze results, and recommend actions.
- Identify new product opportunities.
- Product Alignment & Corrective Measures
- Implement service improvements for VAS & Data.
- Monitor performance and recommend promotional or withdrawal strategies.
- Adjust action plans as needed.
- Planning
- Contribute to commercial and strategic plans.
- Identify business gaps and recommend new services.
- Education
- University degree in Marketing, Statistics, or Economics.
- Knowledge of computer data analytics tools.
- Analytical and statistical skills.
- Excellent communication in English and local language.
- Experience
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of market research methods and principles.
