VACANCY – Site Power & Conditioning Specialist

1. Key Responsibilities
   1. IP Network Planning and Design
      • Contributes to the definition of the IP Network target architecture; evaluating different topologies and technologies to comply with future capacity, quality and capability needs; following protection guidelines.
      • Monitors planning and dimensioning network capacity
      • Translates intra- and extra-departmental requirements and volume forecasts into technical specifications and network expansions.
      • Designs & optimises the backbone and extended backbone IP network guaranteeing the performance requirements and at minimal cost
      • Updates IP Network documentation

2. End-to-end capacity delivery within the Capacity Chain

• Tracks and follows-up of all activities needed to deliver IP Network capacity
• Ensures end-to-end responsibility for the associated processes from initiation to execution and operational hand-over

3. Delivery of IP Network Services to support Business needs and projects

• Translates business requirements into technical specifications
• Evaluates different topologies and technologies that can lead to comply with future capacity and quality needs based on business needs, quality of service and cost considerations

4. Ensuring the best Network Service Quality and Performance

• Analyses and solves 2^nd and 3rd Level Support trouble tickets
• Makes sure all projects and changes are implemented with a minimal risk for the live network and preventing as much as possible service impact
• Verifies log files, test cases, upgrade procedure
• Identifies network areas at risk
• Translates network performance requirements into technical specifications

1. Education

• A University Degree in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering or equivalent

1. Experience

• At least 3 years of relevant experience

1. Knowledge and Skills

• Strong skills in IP Networking, routing and internet technologies
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Good knowledge in routers and switches
• Advanced knowledge of 3G network architecture elements and protocols (TCP/IP, ATM, SS7, etc)
• Good knowledge of LTE/EPC network architecture elements and protocols
• Working knowledge of project management processes and functions
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
