A. Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Maintenance for BILLING CVBS products & equipment like Zsmart Web servers, UIP, Provisioning, Databases, Billing Hosts, and all other billing nodes including 3ed parties system connected to the billing system. (Installation, commissioning, integration, upgrading and maintenance)
2. On-site technical support in liaison with VENDOR 1st 2nd and 3rd level support.
3. Resolving all Billing faults problems that occur in the network.
4. Execution of emergency action plan in liaison with VENDOR high level support.
5. Escalation of emergency hardware and software faults as outlined in the escalation procedure.
6. Billing systems (applications & databases) performance management and producing
7. Billing system performance reports.
8. Constant Billing Accuracy and CDR’s generation check.
9. Provide guidance and technical training for junior Billing engineers/technicians.
10. Implement new requirements (tariffs, promotions…) in liaison with marketing team.
11. Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably assigned by the Billing System Support Specialist/head of department.

B. Education

1. Bachelor’s Degree or above in computer field (Applications & Software’s development).

C. Knowledge and Skills

1. Excellent problem solving, analytical, and people management skills
2. Proficient in Oracle/Sybase/MySQL and other RDMS databases, AIX/UNIX/Linux/Windows operating systems, and cluster operation system, good understanding of VENDOR Billing & VAS products.
3. Good working knowledge of:
   1. Database administration & use of Structured query Language (SQL)
   2. Python/SHELL Scripting.
   3. SOAP, XML, JAVA, .net
   4. Web services.
   5. Analytical skills

6. Administrative skills
7. Must be a team player with leadership skills.
8. Very sound leadership and interpersonal skills (The ability to lead others towards the attainment of set goals)
9. Very strong communication skills and the ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.

10. Knowledge of VENDOR billing equipment’s & systems will be an added advantage.

D. Experience

Minimum of 4 years hands on working experience in Telecommunications Billing & VAS systems.
