FINBANK s.a. is seeking to recruit a highly experienced and results-driven Head of Business Development to lead and drive growth across Retail, SME, and Corporate Banking segments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Growth & Market Expansion

• Develop and execute FinBank's commercial growth strategy across Retail, SME, and Corporate segments.
• Identify and onboard high-value clients (corporate, parastatal, NGO, institutional, diaspora customers).
• Grow the bank's loan book through targeted product offerings.
• Expand deposit mobilization: institutional deposits, corporate current accounts, salary accounts, collections.
• Achieve revenue growth in FX, trade finance, lending fees, and non-funded income.

Product Development

• Lead development, improvement, and rollout of new financial products.
• Conduct product profitability analysis and ensure regulatory compliance.

Strategic Partnerships

• Build and manage strategic Partnerships.
• Lead negotiations for large strategic deals.

Sales Leadership & Team Performance

• Supervise Relationship Managers, Branch Business Teams, and Product Champions.
• Set and monitor team performance against sales KPIs per branch, segment, and product line.
• Drive cross-selling strategy.

Market Intelligence

• Continuously analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings.
• Recommend strategies for differentiation and competitive advantage.
• Prepare periodic business performance reports to Management and the Board.

Risk Management & Compliance

• Ensure that lending and sales activities align with FinBank's Credit Policy, RAC (Risk Acceptance Criteria), and regulatory requirements.
• Support high-quality credit origination through strong pre-screening and risk assessment.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES AND COMPETENCES

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in banking or financial services.
• Strong background in Business Development, Corporate Banking, SME financing, or Retail Banking.
• Demonstrated ability to grow loan book and deposits.
• Experience in product development and strategic partnerships.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
