Job Title: Marketing & Sales Coordinator

Department: Marketing & Sales

Duty Station: Bujumbura, Burundi

Reports To: Managing Director

Type: Full Time

Job Purpose:

Jibu Products Burundi SPRL is seeking an ambitious, growth-oriented, and experienced Marketing & Sales Coordinator with strong interpersonal skills, poised to contribute to the rapid expansion of our company, while making a meaningful social impact.

The primary responsibility of the Marketing & Sales Coordinator is to execute marketing and sales strategies for the brand. Additionally, they will establish, nurture, and enhance relationships with franchisees, corporate partners, and government officials. These efforts will enhance Jibu's understanding of market activities and trends, foster strategic alliances with external stakeholders, and broaden Jibu's market presence and customer base. Collaborating with internal teams and external collaborators, the Marketing & Sales Coordinator will oversee franchisee performance, project management, and regularly provide updates on KPIs and key achievements.

Supervision Received: This position works autonomously, receiving guidance from the executive team

Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead Marketing and sales Growth:

  • Lead strategic marketing and sales campaigns, collaborating with agency partners for effective above the-line marketing.
  • Manage and document initiatives, ensuring they stay within budget and timeline, while achieving sales targets.
  • Research market trends, competitors, and new sales opportunities.
  • Foster communication and alignment with marketing/sales teams in other Jibu markets and the Brand
  • Creative Director.
  • Establish partnerships with media, influencers, and associations to boost brand visibility and drive growth.

Franchise support:

  • Build rapport with Jibu franchisees, comprehending their strengths and challenges.
  • Monitor and manage franchisee performance, addressing concerns proactively.
  • Ensure excellence in sales, supply, and customer service processes.
  • Report on territory performance, communicate with JPB management, and enforce brand standards.

Team engagement and company growth:

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, offering support and flexibility.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for improvement, demonstrating honesty, reliability, dedication, and enthusiasm for contributing to Jibu's success story.

Experience Requirements:

  • Demonstrates strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Takes a proactive and field-centered approach to create and implement innovative problem-solving strategies.
  • Displays exceptional interpersonal skills and excels in customer service interactions.
  • Communicates effectively through both written and verbal means.
  • Offers valuable constructive feedback to the team and serves as an external ambassador for the Jibu brand.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office and possesses experience in understanding of digital marketing trends.


  • Possesses a university Degree in marketing, communication, or business administration.
  • Has a minimum of 2 years work experience in team management and/or project management.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in English, French, and Kirundi.
